Amazon Brand Store: A Distinctive Shopping Experience and a Real Boost for Your Brand

Amazon today is one of the most competitive marketplaces in the world. Even with your own brand and a good product, it's easy to get lost among similar listings. Amazon Brand Store lets you take back control over how customers perceive your brand, showcase your full product portfolio, and create a consistent shopping experience - at no cost, but with a real impact on sales.

Selling on Amazon has long stopped being a race of "first come, first served". Even if you're a brand owner with a unique product and a well-crafted offer, the competition never sleeps. What's more, it's often selling very similar-looking solutions, fighting for the customer's attention with price, a photo, or aggressive advertising. For a buyer browsing available products, many listings simply blend into one.

In an environment like this, every element that genuinely sets a brand and its products apart becomes valuable. Not just as a "nice to have", but as something that actually influences purchase decisions, trust, and recall. A good product alone isn't enough anymore - what matters is the entire shopping experience you offer the customer.

One of the tools that lets you go beyond a standard product page and take control of that experience is Amazon Brand Store. It's a solution built for brands that want to stop being just one option on a list and start deliberately building their presence and image within the marketplace.

What is Amazon Brand Store, and what benefits does it give you?

Amazon Brand Store is a dedicated store for your brand within the Amazon ecosystem. In practice, that means your own sales space where you present a catalog made up exclusively of your own products, with no competitor ads and no distractions typical of standard product pages.

The most important thing to know upfront - Amazon Brand Store is completely free. Amazon doesn't charge anything to create or maintain it. The only "currency" you pay is time: planning the structure, preparing the content, and setting up the store. That's a meaningful difference compared to a classic online store or a dedicated landing page.

The second most important thing to know - Brand Store is only available to brand owners.

A Brand Store works like your brand's "hub" on Amazon. Instead of landing on a single product, the customer arrives at a place where they:

  • get to know your brand,
  • see your full product portfolio (across different categories - it's entirely up to you what you want to showcase),
  • can navigate intuitively between categories,
  • discover connections between products (cross-selling, upselling).

Just as important, Brand Store doesn't replace Amazon's product pages - it complements them. The product page still handles the "here and now" sale, while Brand Store builds context, credibility, and long-term brand value. That's the difference between an accidental purchase and a deliberate choice of a specific brand. This also means that if you've already invested in A+ Content, you're not losing it - a customer moving from Brand Store to a product page gets a consistent, multimedia-rich, appealing message about your brand's and products' value.

In the following sections, we'll show what specific benefits Brand Store offers sellers with their own brand, and exactly what's needed to launch one.

The most important benefits of having an Amazon Brand Store

Amazon Brand Store isn't an add-on that just "looks nice". A well-designed brand store supports your Amazon sales funnel and genuinely influences how customers perceive your offer and make purchase decisions. Below are the most important benefits - no theory, just practice.

Full control over your brand's presentation

On a standard product page, you play by Amazon's rules. In Brand Store, you set the narrative:

  • the order in which products are shown,
  • how benefits are communicated,
  • the look of sections, banners, and headers.

You can tell your brand's story, showcase its values and what sets it apart - something you can't do as effectively even within a single product page with A+ Content. Brand Store helps build brand recognition, repeat purchases, and customer loyalty, setting you apart from competitors who haven't opened their own Brand Store.

No competitor ads

In your Brand Store, customers won't see offers from competing sellers and won't be "pulled away" toward similar products from other brands. All the attention stays on your offer, which is an enormous advantage.

A consistent, professional shopping experience

Brand Store lets you create an experience closer to a classic e-commerce store than a marketplace, thanks to the ability to build logical categories however you see fit. You can create clear purchase paths and include everything your product needs within a given category - visuals, information, specifications, values. For example: if you sell coffee and tea, you could create strict categories (decaf coffee, flavored teas), or use them to showcase one specific model (e.g. coffee designed for espresso machines).

Better exposure for your entire product portfolio

As above - instead of selling products "one at a time" in Amazon's default listing view, you can:

  • promote entire product lines,
  • drive traffic to new arrivals,
  • educate the customer on which product best fits their needs.

This matters especially when you have a larger assortment or offer complementary products.

More effective ad campaigns

Amazon Brand Store works great as a landing page for Sponsored Brands ads. Why?

  • the ad leads to a fully branded space,
  • the user sees more than just one product,
  • the chance of a larger cart and a better ROAS increases.

In short: Brand Store strengthens the effects of your ad campaigns instead of diluting them and risking the customer drifting from your sponsored product to a competitor's.

Who can open an Amazon Brand Store, and what's needed?

Amazon Brand Store isn't a solution for every seller. It's built exclusively for brands, which means one thing: to even get started, you need a registered brand in Amazon Brand Registry within the Amazon ecosystem. If you sell someone else's branded products, you effectively also benefit from that brand's perks - for example, if you sell coffee from a registered brand that created A+ Content for a given ASIN, your listing will also display that A+ Content.

Trademark - the foundation of Brand Registry

Registering with Amazon Brand Registry requires holding a trademark. For the European market, Amazon accepts a trademark registered with a national office (e.g. Poland, Germany, France), as well as an EU trademark registered with EUIPO, which covers all EU member states.

Here's an important practical note: if you're thinking about selling internationally, an EUIPO trademark is the most future-proof option. A single registration gives you protection across all EU member states and doesn't close the door on scaling.

The trademark registration process at EUIPO and national offices takes on average around 6 months, which includes:

  • formal verification,
  • a 3-month opposition period, during which another party can raise claims against your trademark.

What this means is simple - if you're currently at the planning stage for entering Amazon, it's worth factoring this time into your strategy. From the standpoint of Brand Registry's legal requirements (and, by extension, Brand Store and A+ Content), there's no way to skip or speed through this stage.

What does a registered brand get you on Amazon?

After registering your trademark and joining Brand Registry, you gain access to, among other things:

  • Amazon Brand Store,
  • A+ Content (i.e. enhanced product pages),
  • brand protection tools,
  • expanded ad formats.

Other technical requirements

Beyond a trademark, you'll also need the following to open an Amazon Brand Store:

  • an active Seller Central account,
  • a brand linked to it (you can check in the Amazon Brand Registry panel whether you're authorized for your brand),
  • basic visual assets (graphics, banners, photos).

Amazon doesn't charge any fees for Brand Store, but the quality of execution is entirely up to you.

What does the process of building an Amazon Brand Store look like? Step by step

We'll assume you already have access to Brand Registry (meaning you meet the formal requirements). Now let's get into the practical part: how the store gets built, and what to click / prepare along the way, so you don't end up with "a pretty page that doesn't do anything".

Step 1: Enter the Brand Stores builder

In Seller Central, go to the store-building tool (Brand Stores). There you'll see the option to create a new store and choose a brand (if you have more than one).

On the main page, you'll also find additional materials from Amazon to help you understand how a Brand Store is built and which guidelines to follow. You can also draw inspiration from existing stores built by other brands already active on Amazon.

Tip: if you operate in several markets (DE/FR/IT/ES), double-check that you're building the store in the right marketplace - it's easy to mix this up and then wonder why "the store isn't showing up". It's best to start by building a Brand Store in the market with your highest sales volume - Amazon's tools make it easy to open additional stores afterward by translating your content.

Step 2: Choose a store type and layout (template)

Amazon offers several ready-made layouts (templates). The right choice depends on what you sell and how wide your portfolio is.

The most common approaches are:

  • Brand Store with categories - best when you have a larger number of products,
  • Brand Store with collections / lines - when you have product series (e.g. "Basic", "Pro", "Kids"),
  • Brand Store with a "hero product" - when one product drives the majority of sales and the rest are add-ons.

Step 3: Plan your structure (before you start pasting in graphics)

This is a step many sellers skip, and then pay for it in chaos.

The minimum structure we recommend is:

  • Homepage: "who we are + what we sell", your brand's values,
  • 2-6 subpages: categories / collections / use cases,
  • A section with bestsellers and/or new arrivals,
  • A "how to choose" section (if your products require a decision).

The rule: a customer should understand where they are and what to click within 5-10 seconds, since arriving at a Brand Store means encountering a different structure than Amazon's standard product categories.

Step 4: Add pages and sections in the builder

In the builder, you assemble your store from ready-made "blocks" (tiles/sections). The most commonly used elements are:

  • a hero banner (the main banner),
  • category tiles,
  • product galleries,
  • sections with descriptions and lifestyle graphics,
  • a "product grid" for presenting multiple SKUs at once, for example to compare them.

Don't "overdo it" with page content - pick the products you most want to promote (bestsellers, new arrivals, standout models). This way, you'll avoid pages that look like a promotional flyer, and give visitors clear information about your products without overwhelming them visually or informationally.

Step 5: Link up your products and check that everything leads where it should

If you've already built the page, make sure every element is linked correctly. Every tile and module needs to point to the right subpage or products. This is where mistakes most often show up: a click on a category leads to one random ASIN, or to an empty grid. We recommend "click-testing" the store yourself to avoid dead ends and incorrectly linked products or pages.

Step 6: Adjust for mobile (mandatory) and publish

A large share of Amazon traffic is mobile, and a Brand Store can look quite different on a phone than on desktop.

Check whether banners cut off key text, whether tiles are legible, whether text fields aren't overloaded with content, and whether the order of sections still makes sense on a small screen.

Once your Brand Store is ready, you simply submit it for verification by Amazon's team - and publish it once approved. Verification usually isn't a "dramatic" process and doesn't take long - anywhere from one to a few days - but you might be asked to fix poorly formatted graphics or revise content that doesn't comply with Amazon's rules, such as unsupported marketing claims.

After publishing, make sure people actually find their way there. Add a link to your Brand Store in Sponsored Brands, include links in external materials where possible, and use Brand Store to drive traffic from your brand campaigns.

Also remember that a Brand Store, once built, isn't "set in stone". It's worth updating whenever there are new products, seasonal moments (like Black Friday), changes to your bestsellers, or shifts in your brand messaging. Just keep in mind that after every change, the Brand Store has to go through verification again.

Is an Amazon Brand Store worth it?

The short answer: yes - as long as you take selling on Amazon seriously. The longer answer requires looking not just at the costs, but at how you build sales and brand value over the long run.

First, the financial cost. Amazon Brand Store is completely free. You don't pay to create it, maintain it, or update it. It's a rare case of a tool within the Amazon ecosystem that delivers real business value with no extra fees.

Second, the organizational cost. The only investment is time: planning the structure, preparing materials, and getting a sensible setup in place. You pay that cost once, and the store keeps working afterward - including when you drive ad traffic to it. Later tweaks and improvements don't take much time once the store is up and running.

Third, the return on investment. Brand Store:

  • increases trust in the brand,
  • supports customers' purchase decisions,
  • improves the quality of traffic from Sponsored Brands campaigns,
  • makes it easier to sell your whole portfolio, not just a single product.

It's not a tool that "magically" sells on its own. But combined with a good offer, solid product pages, and advertising, it works like a command center for your brand on Amazon. So if you're thinking about scaling, growing your brand, and building stable sales, Brand Store is a very important addition.

Summary

Amazon Brand Store is one of those solutions that gives you full control over how your offer is presented, lets you stand out from the competition, and creates a shopping experience that a product page alone simply can't achieve. Importantly, it's free, scalable, and flexible - exactly what a brand thinking long-term needs.

If you're just starting out selling on Amazon, planning your entry into the marketplace, or feel that your brand has more potential than your current results show, it's worth getting it right from the start.
