A set of guidelines ensuring the accessibility of web content for all users, including people with disabilities - covering, among other things, color contrast, readability, and keyboard operability.
In Poland, the WCAG 2.1 AA requirement for the public sector (government offices, institutions) has applied since 2019 under the Digital Accessibility Act, transposing EU directive 2016/2102. Since June 28, 2025, an additional requirement - under the European Accessibility Act (EAA) - also applies to part of the private sector, mainly companies providing certain digital services (e.g. e-commerce, banking, transport). Not every company falls under this second regime - the scope is worth checking individually.
