Case study
A Shoper Storefront Online Store with a Mega Menu - the S-LOOK Project
We present an online store built on the Shoper Storefront platform. The project involved creating a distinctive visual identity and an intuitive mega menu that makes it easy to navigate an extensive product range.

project type: Online store | technology: Shoper
About the client
One of our clients had spent many years selling on Allegro - a platform that everyone in Poland knows, and one that has successfully served sellers of every scale offering all kinds of products. The client, however, decided to take the next step and open their own sales channel, free from Allegro's top-down restrictions.
The result is the S-LOOK online store, offering a wide range of apparel and fashion products, from women's, men's, and children's clothing, through accessories and jewelry, to an adult category. Such a broad range called for a careful, well-balanced approach to the project, with special attention to UI/UX consistency to ensure a positive shopping experience for users. This was also our first project built with the new Storefront on the Shoper platform.
Project goals
The primary goal of the project was to build a modern, responsive, highly functional online store. Each category - and they're quite varied - needed to keep its own distinct identity while still fitting into the whole in a consistent, elegant way. Another important element was creating a distinctive visual identity, including the logo design, color palette, and typography.
Project process
Work began with a detailed analysis of the client's needs and planning within the capabilities - and limitations - of the Shoper platform. We organized the clothing and accessories offered in the store in a thoughtful, intuitive way.
The store's visual identity was one of the key elements of the project. As part of the work, we created a modern, distinctive logo that represents the S-LOOK brand's character. The color choices were built on a minimalist aesthetic, using a fairly unusual combination of orange and shades of brown alongside grays and white. This gives the brand a distinctive, unconventional character while keeping the site's visual consistency intact. The project also used fonts consistent with the site's overall style, helping the store stand out from others.
The homepage was designed to minimize text and focus on visual appeal. Large, eye-catching banners and background graphics were designed with an elegant, modern look in mind. Carefully chosen photos and subtle animations highlight the quality and variety of the products on offer, while also making it easier for users to find the categories they're interested in.
The appeal of the mega menu
Implementing the technical features required special attention, especially when building the custom mega menu. This is an extensive type of navigation menu used on websites and online stores that presents a large number of links, subcategories, and other elements in a clear, organized way. Unlike traditional dropdown menus, a mega menu groups content into multiple columns or sections, often enriched with images, icons, and descriptions. This lets users quickly find the categories, products, or services they're interested in, significantly improving navigation on sites with an extensive structure.
The advantage of a mega menu is its clarity and its ability to organize a large amount of information in a readable way, which improves the user experience (UX). This is especially useful for online stores and sites with many categories and subcategories, such as news portals or e-commerce sites. A well-designed mega menu makes it easy to quickly find the information you're looking for, saving users time and improving the site's functionality.
The Shoper Storefront platform didn't have any ready-made plugins that would allow a mega menu to be implemented with minimal setup. This meant the entire mega menu had to be built by hand, from scratch. The result is intuitive navigation that lets users quickly find the categories and products they're interested in, including on mobile, where a mega menu often needs extra attention to work well. The menu combines functionality with aesthetics, fitting naturally into the store's visual style.
Technical implementation and integrations
For product and order management, we implemented an integration with Baselinker, which streamlines inventory synchronization and automates logistics processes.
The site was optimized for responsiveness and performance to ensure fast loading and intuitive use on both desktop and mobile devices. Every part of the project was tested repeatedly to ensure the store runs smoothly regardless of device or browser.
Results
The result of the project is a modern, visually appealing, functional online store: S-LOOK. The homepage stands out with striking, animated banners and attractive background graphics that effectively grab users' attention.
Thanks to the custom mega menu, a distinctive visual identity, and careful UX/UI optimization, we managed to build a platform that meets both the client's needs and users' expectations. The store is responsive, runs smoothly across devices - which translates into a positive user experience and higher conversion - and is connected to the Baselinker warehouse system. In other words, it's ready to sell!
