A Clear, Ethics-Compliant Website for a Bailiff's Office - Case Study

How do you design a website for a bailiff's office when the law bans it from running any kind of advertising? For the site of Court Bailiff Damian Makowski, the priority was a clear, calm, fully informational website. It was designed as a one-page site that presents the office's key information in a simple way and gives visitors access to the documents they need.

type of project: Website | technology: WordPress

About the client

Damian Makowski is a court bailiff operating at the District Court in Prudnik. As a public official, he carries out enforcement actions under the law within a defined district.

For a bailiff's office, a website mainly serves an informational purpose. Visitors come looking for basic information — contact details, the scope of the office's activities, the bailiff's area of jurisdiction, or the documents needed to file an enforcement petition.

Our job was to build a website that presents this information clearly, in a way consistent with the nature of the court bailiff profession.

Goals and challenges

The biggest constraint on this project was the fact that a court bailiff, as a public-trust professional, cannot engage in advertising. So the website couldn't include any marketing copy or promotional elements.

The goal of the project was to build a calm, neutral, clear informational site that lets visitors quickly find the information they need.

It was also important to organize the content so that visitors could easily find information about the office's district, the scope of the bailiff's duties, and the documents needed to start enforcement proceedings.

Delivery - step by step

Designing the informational site

The site was designed as a one-page website, so all the key information sits in one place.

This kind of layout works especially well for institutional and office websites, where visitors are usually looking for specific information rather than wanting to browse through many subpages.

The site's structure was split into logical sections, covering:

  • an introduction to the court bailiff
  • information about the office's district
  • the scope of the bailiff's office's activities
  • downloadable materials and petition forms
  • the office's contact details

That lets visitors quickly find the information they need without having to dig through an extensive site structure.

Clear content and documents

One of the site's more important elements is the downloadable materials section. It includes ready-made petition forms that can be used by anyone looking to start enforcement proceedings.

Putting all the documents in one place makes it significantly easier for visitors to prepare the paperwork they need and cuts down on the time needed to contact the office.

The site's content was written in a matter-of-fact, neutral tone, consistent with the nature of a court bailiff's work.

Site technology

The office's website was built on WordPress, which makes it easy to manage the site's content.

That means the office can easily update information, change content, or add new downloadable documents in the future.

UX optimization

The site was designed to be as clear as possible. A minimalist layout and a logical section structure let users quickly find the information they need.

The site is also fully responsive, so it's comfortable to use on both computers and mobile devices.

Results

The result of the project is a simple, clear, functional website that presents the bailiff's office's work in a transparent way.

The site makes it easy for visitors to find the information they need and access the documents required for enforcement proceedings, while staying fully compliant with professional ethics rules and the advertising restrictions the profession is bound by.

Summary

The website project for the bailiff's office in Prudnik shows that even a simple informational site can play an important role in communicating with visitors.

Thanks to a clear structure, straightforward content, and easy access to documents, the result is a site that genuinely makes it easier to contact the office and find the most important information.
